Thai is a vibrant and enthusiastic stylist who began her career at Deacon Hair Co and recently finished her 1 year apprenticeship. A 2018 graduate of Aveda Institute receiving advanced training in organic hair care methods. She really enjoys working with naturally curly hair, dry cutting, blonding, and all things formulation. However she is always up for a challenge with drastic make overs, fun color choices, and edgy haircuts. She loves making her clients feel beautiful from the inside out while educating them on the latest techniques to enhance the over all health and natural texture of their hair.

In her free time, Thai enjoys life itself. She loves checking out new coffee shops, spending time with friends & family, perfecting her yoga skills, and the great outdoors.

Marisa Atwood

Dimensional Reds - Textured Haircuts - Corrective Color

Marisa’s love for all things hair first started as a teenager as a form of self expression. She has always enjoyed helping others find that connection for themselves. She took the first big step as a cosmetology student at Pickaway Ross CTC and graduated with her cosmetology license in 2009. Determined to bring a positive change to the industry she began searching for inspiration through education which ultimately led her to DHC.

Marisa creates the ultimate warm rich reds, browns, blondes, and transformative corrective colors. She is known for her individualized textured haircuts, shags, fringe, and bangs. Marisa is continuously receiving education as she believes sharing knowledge is key to empowering both stylists and clients. During the shut down she decided to utilize her free time in pursuing other passions of her’s by taking classes to become certified in Herbalism & Yoni Steaming which she received in 2021. She now co-teaches quarterly yoni steaming workshops.

She finds inspiration & happiness through nature. When she’s not behind the chair you can find her listening to her favorite podcasts while thrifting, foraging, gardening, preserving goods, & spending time with her family.

BRITTANY Hansel

Colorist - Natural Curl Stylist - Special Event Hair Styling

Brittany’s passion for hair started in her childhood styling and cutting her friends hair for fun.  Brittany followed her dream and graduated with her license from Ohio State School of Cosmetology in 2007. She went on to work at a luxury salon and day spa for 5 years. In that time becoming a wife, and mother of two beautiful children Vincent and Scarlett. After enjoying her time as a STAM her children are now in school and she is excited  to return to her love of hair at Deacon Hair Co.

Brittany’s loves working with naturally curly hair, coloring hair, and barbering. She takes great joy in making people look and feel beautiful. She stays up to date on the latest hair trends by learning and sharing knowledge with her clients.

In her free time you can usually find Brittany outdoors spending time with her family and animals. She loves photography, target, and visiting her favorite beach in Destin, Fl.

Hannah Kingery

Colorist - Blonding Artist - Special Event MUA

Hannah’s love for glam started early in her childhood from her first perm in kindergarten to graduating The Hair Academy in 2017. Receiving education on a regular bases Hannah’s enthusiasm has only continued to grow. After training at DHC, she decided to join the team of passionate stylists to build her business along side.

Hannah sees hair- the canvas itself, and the way it can make a person look and feel, as an art form. Throughout her time behind the chair she has fine-tuned her craft, focusing on the integrity of hair by creating detailed, dimensional, low-maintenance colors. Her favorite part of the job is mapping out a custom placement layout for each client with subtle shifts in brightness and tones to compliment their natural beauty. She loves seeing the evolution of her clients’ hair when they’ve been given the knowledge and product recommendations best suited for their hair type.

Hannah understands and celebrates her fellow introverts and welcomes silent-appointment requests. She has a few of her favorite books available to read at her station. However, she also loves to get to know more about you if you feel like sharing.

Outside of the salon you can find Hannah shopping, at yoga class, or a local brunch spot. She really enjoys cooking and any excuse to celebrate life with her family and friends.

Abigail Phillips

Blonding - Lived In Color Artist - Natural Curl Stylist

Abigail grew up with a vivid imagination seeking a career that would allow her to express herself. As a child she enjoyed pampering her barbies, creating the perfect style and occasional mullet. She decided to become a cosmetologist because she wanted to use her passion for cultivating beauty to help individuals discover their own inner confidence.

Abigail graduated Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School with extensive experience in customer service and hair theory. She was first drawn to DHC by their passion for nurturing the health of each head of hair. And for their genuine support in building lasting relationships. Abigail lives for a drastic blonde transformation, lived in color, and bringing back the character of the 70’s through fun cuts and colors. 

In her free time Abigail can be found scribbling down her deepest thoughts in her journal with an iced matcha close by. She loves quality time with her friends and family, as well as volunteering in her community. “Simplicity” is the mantra of her life.

Lucy Deacon

Lucy works part time as a warm and calming companion. She can sit, shake your hand, and even dance. She is an ambitious go getter and she’s not afraid to ask for what she wants. As the work day winds down, she likes to take a few minutes soaking up the evening sun. She enjoys long walks, chasing animals, sniffing, and leaving her mark as she makes her way in the world. At the end of the day, she’s just like any other girl— she works hard, plays hard, and naps equally hard.
